The ARH registration process has been designed to be accessible and user-friendly, whilst maintaining the high standards expected of practitioners by both the public and healthcare professionals. Our registration criteria include recommendations made in the National Occupational Standards for Homeopathy, which are increasingly being used by homeopaths and training establishments.

As a Registered Member of the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths, you will:

  • be recognised as a Registered Homeopath
  • be entitled to use the letters MARH after your name

  • be eligible to take out ARH professional indemnity insurance
  • receive our quarterly journal, Homeopathy in Practice
  • be eligible for reduced prices for ARH conferences and seminars

  • have the support and backing of a dedicated professional organisation.

The registration process

The portfolio-based registration process developed by ARH gives assessors the opportunity to recognise and acknowledge an applicant’s prior experience in practice. This is of particular benefit to those homeopaths who have been in practice for some time, but have not previously registered with any of the professional organisations.

We would like registering with the ARH to be a positive and rewarding experience for all new applicants. We believe that by developing a portfolio-based registration procedure, we can assess applicants as individuals. ARH endeavours to support applicants in areas they may find challenging, and to work with them to build on their strengths.

Full details of the registration process are given in the Registration Pack, which you can download here:

Please note that if there are 5 or more Original Route applicants from one place, ARH will do its best to come and hold interviews at a venue of the applicants' choosing, at a mutually agreeable date. Contact Steve Scrutton for more information on 01536 744520 or steve@a-r-h.org.

Final-year students who wish to register as Registered Members of ARH as soon as they have graduated can send in their registration application form before graduation, as long as they include a letter from the college confirming that they have satisfied all their graduation criteria.
